Who makes a better leader, someone who is loved or someone who is feared?

   "Who makes a better leader, someone who is loved or someone who is feared?"
Honestly I believe someone who is feared, is most likely to be obeyed by anyone. Though, I do not take it that the follower have respect for their leader. But I believe everything is based on your up bringing. Some parents are very strict, and also loving. Than again someone who is feared tend to be much more stern on how they want things to be done. When feared their desicions are taken more seriously, and more likely to be accomplished. But once again being feared should be avoided, being feared is something you would not want to encounter. Being feared can bring dishonesty and sometimes violence. Being lenient sometimes can get you no where, no one will take you seriously. Most of our leader in history, has conqured  and over came, but had horrible endings
